provider and patient Frequently Asked Questions
For providers
-
No. We do not replace your billing team. Your team manages the day-to-day processes; our team helps determine if the processes are working. If your practice needs day-to-day outsourced billing operations, we can help you understand what to look for in a billing partner and may provide names of independent companies for your consideration. If you prefer to keep billing operations in-house, Maison Dexara can provide staff training designed to strengthen internal processes and support the recovery plan we create for your practice.
-
Your billing team may already understand the day-to-day workflow, but an outside assessment can help organize the bigger picture. Maison Dexara investigates the root cause, outlines a path to recovery, and monitors revenue performance after recovery steps have been implemented. Hiring an employee may help manage the workload, but Maison Dexara helps identify what is driving the workload so your practice can operate smoothly, plan effectively, and move forward with confidence.
-
That can still be valuable. A clean or low-risk review gives your practice more confidence in current processes and helps document areas that appear stable. The assessment may also identify smaller improvements before they become larger revenue concerns.
-
The Maison Dexara Revenue Cycle Assessment includes a structured review of selected billing activity, denial patterns, accounts receivable concerns, reimbursement issues, and patient balance trends based on the records provided. Our responsibility is to help identify where revenue may be delayed, at risk, underpaid, or creating communication challenges for the practice.
-
Turnaround time depends on the size and complexity of the review. We will provide an estimated completion timeline during your onboarding phase. Due to the ongoing nature of the revenue cycle, we recommend considering a monthly retainer. While we’re happy to assess snapshot of your revenue cycle, a monthly retainer allows us to monitor trends across all four quarters, address issues as they arise, and support your team with consistent guidance instead of one-time recommendations that may shift as operations evolve.
-
You may be a good fit if you are unsure where your revenue cycle stands or know your practice needs immediate assistance with denials, underpayments, accounts receivable, or collections.
Our role is simple: assess a snapshot of your revenue cycle, identify where money may be hidden, and create a recovery plan designed to strengthen your practice’s financial performance.
For Patients
-
Maison Dexara helps patients better understand medical bills, insurance benefits, claim denials, coverage concerns, and patient balance questions. Our goal is to provide clarity so you can feel more informed before making decisions about your healthcare expenses.
-
If your bill is clear, accurate, and affordable, it may make more sense to pay it directly. Maison Dexara is designed for situations where the bill is confusing, unexpectedly high, denied by insurance, or difficult to navigate. Our consultation helps you understand what you are being asked to pay before you make a decision, so you are not paying blindly or missing questions that should be addressed first.
-
We understand that medical billing conversations can include a lot of information. After your consultation, Maison Dexara provides a copy of the key areas discussed, along with helpful resources based on your situation. We also include educational materials you can reference later when reviewing bills on your own.
-
Depending on the service selected, Maison Dexara may help prepare questions, review documents, or guide you on what to ask your insurance company or provider. If direct communication is needed, permission and proper authorization may be required before we contact anyone on your behalf.
