Maison Dexara partners with schools, nonprofits, employers, healthcare organizations, associations, and community groups to make health insurance, payment options, and the healthcare revenue cycle easier to understand.
Practical education, plain-language explanations, and time for real-world questions.
Choose the conversation your audience needs.
Each session answers a different healthcare financial question. Organizations can select the topic that best reflects their audience, goals, and level of experience.
Health Insurance 101
A foundational introduction to how health insurance works and what common insurance terms, requirements, and plan features mean.
During this session, we discuss:
- Deductibles, copays, coinsurance, premiums, and out-of-pocket maximums.
- Provider networks, referrals, prior authorizations, and common plan structures.
- How to read, use, and ask better questions about health insurance benefits.
Insurance or Self-Pay?
Understanding Your Options
A practical look at how patients can compare payment routes and ask better financial questions before receiving care.
During this session, we discuss:
- When using insurance may be beneficial and when self-pay may be worth considering.
- Questions to ask before scheduling care, agreeing to a price, or making a payment.
- How to compare estimates, discounts, payment plans, and financial assistance options.
Inside the Revenue Cycle
A start-to-finish look at what happens financially before, during, and after a healthcare visit.
During this session, we discuss:
- How a healthcare visit moves from scheduling and registration through billing and final payment.
- Where delays, denials, missed payments, and communication gaps can begin.
- How patients and practice teams each influence the financial side of care.
